SUPPORTING A THRIVING DEMOCRACY
Oregon Raindrop Fund offers one-time grants to 501(c)(4) nonprofit organizations focused on progressive change in rural and exurban communities across Oregon. On occasion we will consider granting to other 501 nonprofit designations and organized committees. Funding ranges from $5,000 up to a maximum $50,000 with an average grant size between $25,000-$35,000.
Our grants provide vital financial support for organizations embracing high-impact opportunities.
Priority areas:
- Ensuring fair and just conditions for participation in the democratic process
- Civic engagement efforts focused on voter education, participation and mobilization
- Efforts to identify, develop and elect local political leadership committed to progressive values
- Grassroots movements for policies and initiatives that realize meaningful impacts on progressive issues
- Support to develop independent local media and participatory journalism
The process begins with a letter of inquiry and an initial evaluation. If selected, you will be invited to submit a grant proposal. A request’s review, approval, and evaluation is informed by an assessment of real-world change to be realized.
